[Spoilers] Just finished the Witcher 2

I made this post 2 weeks ago after completing the Witcher 1 where I outlined my thoughts on the game, concluding that it was overall a very good game despite its outdated graphics (something I'm used to as I'm running a potato laptop). Now that I've got a new machine, I decided to continue onto the Witcher 2. I just finished and decided to make a post for anyone curious to view my thoughts.

A bit of context: I technically finished the game, but only on Roche's path. I plan to replay the game on Iorveth's side in a few days but I just had to make a post soon otherwise I felt I would lose my initial thoughts and opinions on the game.

So first, I should begin with the visuals.

The graphics in this game are fantastic. I may be a bit of a caveman in terms of gaming visuals, but I'm always quite blown away by the detail and artistry of the terrain in this game. La Valette Castle and Loc Muinne are my favorite places in the game. I enjoyed the designs of the characters as well: Geralt gets to keep his white witcher stature, Roche took a while to get used to due to that funny hat he's wearing but he's was good, Letho was fantastic along with his badass friends Serrit and Auckes. Henselt, Dethmold, Sile and Iorveth were all designed well, fit for the personalities. My only gripe is Iorveth's ridiculously large bow, making him look like a ninja straight out of Naruto.

The voice acting was good. I particularly like the voice acting for Dethmold, Roche and Letho. I understand he's supposed to be calm and cool all the time but I wished they added a bit more tonal differences in Geralt's dialogue. By Chapter 3, I was hoping he would have something to relieve that sore throat of his. Despite that, the dialogue in this game is much better than the first, as well as the dialogue options. I like how they don't just repeat what is said in the selections. Dandelion and Zoltan remain one of my favorite characters in the series thanks to the quirky dialogue and great voice acting. The addition of trolls provided some much needed relief. I'm quite glad to say I got the "Friend of Trolls" achievement on Steam.

Onto the story itself. I enjoyed the political themes of the game. It really made it easy to have the whole "moral dilemma in your actions" thing. I like how they didn't immediately lay bare the consequences of some of your actions (Saskia being the dragon, handing Anais to Radovid) but after playing this game for 30 over hours, you can tell there's always gonna be consequences to your actions. I enjoyed Roche's storyline. How he lost the Blue Stripes will always be a shame.

Unlike in the first Witcher where they attempted the whole "solving the mystery" in Chapter 2, which in my opinion fell flat on its face because of more than the story itself, I like how they weren't afraid to try it again. This time, the got it right. Helping solve the conspiracy of Henselt's army and also Foltest's killers were very satisfying, despite both their varying differences of importance. Unlike Vizima, the entirety of the map did not feel like a chore to navigate. I'm sure spamming dodge rolls had something to do with that but nevertheless it was still designed well. This however, did not apply to Loc Muinne. Although aesthetically pleasing, I was often lost in the ruins and the map provided very little help. This put me off doing the sidequests and I breezed through the main storyline of that Chapter until the prologue.

The combat system was a breath of fresh air. I played on normal so I'm assuming it was relatively easy. The only thing I wasn't sure of was the use of mutagens (not sure how to use them) and also adrenaline. I think I might've forgotten what it was used for but it was never mentioned again. I like how you had to prepare beforehand when fighting a monster whether by potions or traps or getting the appropriate bombs, but it was very nice when your potion runs out due to a cutscene. I enjoyed some of the boss fights. The fight with the Draon was my favorite i think, particularly due to the visuals. The fight with the Kayran was pretty creative and I liked how they forced you to rely on your other apparatus, not just mash the right mouse button.

One thing they did much better here is boss deaths. In the Witcher 1, killing the Professor or Azar Javed felt unsatisfying and left a lot more to be desired. However, Dethmold's and Henselt's death at the hands of Roche felt extremely good. I particularly loved when Henselt succumbs to Roche's stab whilst saying "A flea has bitten a lion". Seeing Dethmold have his balls cut off and throat slit was satisfying to say the least.

If I had to pin one character as my favorite from the Witcher 2 besides Geralt, it would have to be Letho. You know the game is made right when it manages to convince you to let the man you've been hunting down since the prologue to walk away after gradually explaining his point of view. Yes, it sucks that he helped Nilfgaard soften the North for the taking, but ultimately his intentions were just as noble, if not more noble than yours. Letho is the true King of Neutrality. His ultimate aim was the restore the Witcher School of the Viper, whether by means of Scoia'tael, sorceress or Nilfgaardian invasion. He has a way of coming off as both slightly twisted but noble at the same time. And his voice acting was absolutely the best in the game, in my opinion. It felt like they were trying to mimic the cold calculative voice of Geralt, but they did it better for Letho, partially maybe because he had less things to say.

Like the first installment of the series, I'm glad they didn't spoonfeed you into the politics and background of the world straight away. A risky move, but it lent to the authenticity and political backdrop of the game nicely. I like how they didn't hand out information about Yennefer, even though she was not mentioned in the first game at all. Having Geralt restore his memory felt like a milestone each time it happened. There was a sense of achievement at finding out something of your past and you were well rewarded with a beautiful animation. Speaking of which, some of the fight scenes were beautifully choreographed, specifically the fight with Serrit and Auckes, and Letho in Chapter 1.

Ultimately, the game is very good. I thought the Witcher 1 was good with its outdated graphics, but the Witcher 2 removed that hindrance while still keeping its great storyline. The political scheming of the game may not be suited for everyone, but it was for me. But who doesn't like solving mysteries, whether it be about the assassin of kings or the pasts of witchers?

I'm gong to finish up on Iorveth's path now. I got the Witcher 3 on sale for half price and I'm extremely excited. If its half as good as people say it is compared to the second, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Creating custom save game... is this possible with a mod?

Hey guys! I am borrowing Witcher 3 on ps4 from a friend and am about 20 hours in. Steam is having a half price sale that ends tomorrow, is there a way I can mod a save game so I can pickup on pc roughly where I am on ps4? Like check off the quests I’ve completed, add on the gold/weapons I have, that sorta thing? If so then awesome, please point me in the right direction cuz I just don’t have the freetime to replay 20 hours lol. Thanks guys!

Game crashes to desktop randomly during cutscenes and conversation events

Hey there,

I’m experiencing sporadic crashing to desktop after just beginning a cut-scene or sometimes a conversation (Seems to happen more often with cut-scenes though). It’s not guaranteed to happen 100% of the time, however I’d say there’s a roughly 50/50 chance one of the two events will cause the game to crash to desktop. I’ve never experienced a crash whilst actually playing. Normally if I immediately restart the game the event that triggered the crash will successfully move along without a crash on the 2nd attempt, however I have had certain cut-scenes where there was a crash on multiple attempts.

I’ve attached a dxDiag as well as a Windows Event log from the most recent crash I experienced.

I’m running a GTX 970 with the latest drivers from Nvidia.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Has anyone heard anything in relation to a possible "Dark Mode" Difficulty setting, like TW2?

I personally enjoyed Dark Mode in TW2. Having new armor sets would be great for new playthroughs , and a harder difficulty would be a nice challenge. Has there been any mention?

How exactly do Adrenaline Points work?

Can anyone please help? I am just looking for some basic information on how Adrenaline Points function.

Random FPS drops and sound stuttering

Hi,

I have 30+ hours in Witcher 3 and suddenly verytime when I’m running the game for ~2 minutes game starts randomly dropping from 50 fps to 18 fps with sound lag and I never experienced that before.

Here is example: https://youtu.be/vznNnuIoahA

You can see it better in 0:22 when I’m running.

This is screen of TM when the game is alt+tabbed: http://s9.postimg.org/rg6f58427/Untitled.png

Also when I’m starting the game my CPU is on 0%. I tried to play other HW demanding games like Evil Within, GTA V… for example and never experienced that.

My specs:

i5-4210H

GTX 960m – Latest drivers not updated but installed after Win reinstall which was done this week.

8 GB ram

Windows 10 pro

Can someone help me please? I really like this game and now it’s unplayable for me :(

Spoiler - Runewright criticism

Hi all,

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it a bit of shame that to "activate" the Runewright you have a monster-battle that requires a certain level? Without that part of his "reestablishment" we could have used this new crafting feature earlier in the main game – still for a big price of money.

As it stands you’ll find a metric ton of rune stones and glyphs with no real use until you have leveled enough to go into the final Wild Hunt battle, at which point you can activate the RW, but by then it’s kinda pointless…

When does the "takes three to tango" quest happen?

I told triss I loved her and after learning more of the games backstory and getting to know yennefer I regretted my decision, I used console commands to remove triss as my lover, and then told yennefer that I love her. and there's really no way for me to be sure it worked. She gave Geralt a look when he and yennefer kissed in front of her, but now I'm climbing the mountain with Ciri and wondering if the commands worked or I've been screwed the whole time. Have I passed the point where the quest shows up or is it still a possible outcome?

Worth doing all Skellige Question Marks?

Is it worth doing all of these? I just recently beat the game and did every quest besides some witcher gear and races ones. I want to know if I should explore all these areas but it's incredibly annoying traveling in water by boat in this game as it takes way too long. Is it worth or should I just start up my new play-through of deathmarch and say forget em? I will admit, I'm kind of OCD and just want the marks off the map though but god they are so far apart.

Beware of ATI's new Crimson drivers, they can possibly damage your video card.

There seems to be a bug with ATI's Crimson drivers causing fans to not go over 20% usage, potentially leading to overheating and damaging the card itself. Reddit link

ATI has acknowledged the issue (Twitter link) and says they will be issuing a fix tomorrow. But if you have these drivers and plan to play any games between now and then, I'd urge you to roll back.

I was speaking to my housemate today that Vampires in Witcher 3 were a little disappointing. But halfway through my sentence I told him about the Conversation about Dandelion about Regis in the Witcher 1 and he said blood is like Booze to higher vampires.

A Just Witcher

[Contract: Skellige's Most Wanted Spoilers]

I believe this quest was added afterwards in some DLC, but it seems to be a fitting conclusion to the monster contracts of Witcher 3. At least, that's how I thought of it, considering it was the very last contract of my second playthrough.

Nonetheless, it serves as the epitome of Geralt's role in this world as a witcher. Not sure if that's intended by the designers, but it conveys Geralt's view on humans vs. monsters.

Here's a video of the quest

And here's what I wrote about the quest (In the video's description)

Heroes are rarely perfect. In fact, moral heroes require imperfection. Decisions never have right or wrong answers, but a moral hero must stand between them and decide. This leads to consequences: hearts broken, failure of trust, and lives lost, all for the sake of "doing the right thing."

But it doesn't end there. A moral hero, a just witcher, must stand for his actions and never doubt himself. When confronted, this moral hero, Geralt of Rivia, speaks the truth on making difficult decisions. He is the connection between two worlds, humans and monsters, and defends them from each other. He has seen what each side can–and will–do to the other.

The duty of a just witcher is to protect the innocent and kill the violent, including innocent monsters and violent humans.

Attacking wrong direction?

Recently after a computer reformat, I started anew in the Witcher 3. However, I've been having this weird bug (?) where it seems sometimes in combat where Geralt is facing doesn't matter, and he will swing in the direction I last pressed (WASD). This makes dodging backwards and re-engaging quite awkward. Anyone else experience this? Any fixes?

Some interesting notes about the Glyphwords Enchanting expoit... You can also use it to WEAKEN your character!

I did some testing today since I had the Crowns to max out the Runewright, and found more odd behavior with the equip/unequip bug…

First off, the exploit doesn't seem to work if the enchantment is on an already matching type of armor (Levity on a light piece, for example,) and you aren't wearing other non-matching pieces. This leads me to believe that the bug isn't actually related to the Glyphword, but the way it "changes" the armor type.

Second, and more interestingly, you can actually use the mechanic in REVERSE to permanently weaken your character's damage. If you enchant a light piece with the Balance Glyphword (makes all armor medium,) and start the equip/unequip cycle WITH the Cat School Perk slotted, it will REMOVE the damage buff over and over, PERMANENTLY. This allows you to reverse the exploit.

Since the exploits work for HP and Sign Intensity for the Bear and Griffin School Perks as well, it stands to reason that the same process could be applied to remove them, provided you have the right piece of gear. -Example: If you want to reduce your buffed HP, you place Balance on a heavy piece of armor, and equip/unequip it with the Bear School Perk slotted. (But WITHOUT the Griffin School Perk slotted, or else you will exploit-buff your Sign Intensity in the process.)

I still need to run some more tests to see if each buff behaves the same way in reverse, but I verified that DPS/Cat School DOES work in reverse on PS4 using a Balance enchanted Mastercrafted Feline chest piece. I was able to slowly reduce my damage by equipping it over and over with the Cat School perk slotted. (All the way to base damage, actually, so you can even have the Cat School perk slotted without getting the bonus from it OR any other crit dmg/% buff perks.)

(Version is current 1.11 PS4)

I’m quite sure my problems are correlated with my underwhelming CPU, however I’m not entirely sure.

I cannot play the Witcher on the Lowest settings including windowed mode. I can play BF4 on Medium and MGSV on Medium settings just fine.

The Problem: The game will freeze unpredictably for roughly 5 seconds then continue. Some times the freezing is most frequent. The only constant is it will freeze.

Stats:

Motherboard: MSI Z87 G45

GPU: Nvidia 780 Ti

I just finised playing Witcher 3 and I didn’t understand the ending. Then she was teleported to some other (winter) reality where she suppose to fight it I guess. There was no explanation what she was doing and how she got back…

Need help catching up!

So, Witcher 3 is my first in the series to really play. I own Witcher 2, but I never got into it due to time constraints at the time. I am absolutely LOVING this game since I got it for my birthday, really getting into the universe and loving every second of this type of gameplay. While some aspects of Geralt are hard for me to relate to, I love him as a character and I love how hes written, even with choices involved.

My dilemma is thus:

I am so very lost on the references to past events in the other two games that give weight to some conversations. Triss and Yen are unknowns to me, as Ciri is the only person thats been developed for me so far, as I just finished the arc with a girl named Keiren (I think thats her name).

Is there a good source I can go to that would succinctly summarize the events of 1-2, touching on major events that help me understand things such as the war. There isnt much talked about when it comes to the major powers, and I cant see Geralt siding with either. Those, among others, really need clarification for me.

Thanks in advance!

The Sound of Boats

Now I’ll be the first to admit that I am sensitive to sound. In fact in real life I do suffer from hyperacusis, a hypersensitivity to sound. With that said, boats did not used to drive me crazy.

I just started playing again after a few months of doing other things, and after playing for a few days I just got to a boat and the creaking of the rigging is just driving me crazy. It just sounds… wrong. It doesn’t sound like hemp ropes creaking over wooden beams. It sounds like some giant, chitinous creature rubbing it’s legs together, like some obscene cricket or something.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a fix?

Is there some secret to making the combat in Witcher 3 fun?

Everyone said the combat was great compared to Witcher 2 (which was meh) and Witcher 1 (which was awful.) I'm desperately trying to find the combat fun, but all I can do is find it frustrating. I've been playing on the 2nd hardest difficulty and combat is just… endlessly frustrating. It honestly feels like every single fight is "roll around in circles while mashing mouse 1 and food/drink." Hell, a werewolf fight in the second area is literally exactly that – you just slug him harder than he slugs you and you win. Yay? The camera is frequently the worst enemy – locking onto enemies completely changes how Geralt moves and makes it impossible to keep track of other enemies, and since Geralt is often heavily outnumbered… it just creates more problems than it solves.

Is there some way of making the combat more Dark Souls-y? I mean, literally all CDPR had to do was carbon copy the Dark Souls combat system and they have a perfect 10/10 game on their hands. FromSoft figured the "third-person hacky-slashy fantasy game" combat formula out four years ago – all literally any developer has to do is just copy it. Every single attack has weight, rolling is important and can be punished (both the player vs enemies and enemies punishing the player), and just… it's fucking perfect. Is there some mode or mod that will change combat to be more like that? Is there a mod that will at least change the camera to be like that?

It's actively preventing me from enjoying the game. I fucking love the game… right up until a quest forces me to engage in combat, at which point the game stops being fun and starts being absolutely fucking infuriating. Hell, the entire reason I'm posting this is because I'm so fucking pissed at the garbage combat system and hoping there's a mod or way of configuring things that allow combat to be fun, because I don't want to play the game on "story mode" where combat is basically a formality. But I feel like that's going to be my only choice, if there's no way of improving it somehow.

I realize the save won't be the same, but this is the easiest way for me to get back into the game, so I'll take what i can get. Right now I have HoS 1.11 installed so I know earlier saves may not be compatible? Not sure if that will cause a problem.

I was either level 14 or 15, and most importantly I haven't moved my primary quests past Novigrade. However, I did do a bunch of the quests inside Novigrade. Preferably have as many side quests and points of interest visited up to this point as possible. I was definitely strong/rich and had almost everything I could find for my level.

Anyway, please, hit me with your best shot. Some of you guys must still have save files from Novigrade. Everything online is like already beaten/everything collected. You'll make my day :-) losing all my music, games, etc was not fun! Thanks and good hunting.

How big is Geralt's dick?

Sometimes when Geralt goes to have sex with a prostitute, they kind of look down and chuckle a bit. That either means that Geralt has a huge dick, or it's really fucking tiny. What do you guys think?

[SPOILERS] Constant crashing during a certain point in the game

So this part involves a Play so if you aren't to that point, don't read on.

During the play in which you try and draw out Dudu (nice name btw), my game constantly crashes. I can never seem to get past the point where Geralt calls Dudu up. Most times, it crashes after Act 1. I even went to an older save and tried to get back to that point and it crashed on Act 3. Has anyone had this issue or know how I might be able to fix it?

Witcher Abilities

I have noticed that if you run around and find the shrines that give you a free ability point, you quickly get to a point where you have more abilities than you can equip. I'm lvl 20 and I have a couple that I never use. Is there a solution to this?

Pleast add a new, higher difficulty level!

Hello everyone,

I love this game! Taking my time, doing sidequests.

But Death March is WAY too easy. I am constantly owerpowered. I find myself wanting NOT to become more powerful, because no matter what I do, there is always quests far behind me in terms of level.

In the end, it kills my will to explore and climb this game… Because I am already way too high.

PLEASE add a new difficulty mode, WAY more difficult! Where ascend the game would be a real exploit! Please allow us to say "Wow. I dit it!" (just like in Dark Souls).

Because victory without risk brings triumph without glory!

Thank you for even reading this post.

If you love the setting. Read. The. Damn. Books.

Seriously. I am in love with TW3 and yesterday started reading 50pgs of The Last Wish (first of the series of the Witcher books) and it was awesome. It feels like I am watching my Geralt do things, get in adventures, slay monsters, etc.

So, here is the amazing part. I woke up today, and I thought

Damn, that playthrough yesterday was awesome

And then I realized I havent played TW3 for 2 days. The books just feel so real, so good, that if you love the Witcher universe, you should read them.

And I know I am just 50 pages in, but I am very confident.

Questions about starting NG+. Please ELI5

So I finished the game on Normal and went into the DLC with everything I got. If I start NG+ in HIGHEST DIFFICULTY. will I lose my DLC progress?

Another question. Do the "?" locations I already explored in NG carry over to NG+?

Thanks

Quests that trigger other quests to be missed?

Playing through for the first time and I really want to try (at least) to do every quest I can. It seems like certain quests can be missable. For instance, I know leaving White Orchard is a key point not to miss some quests there.

From what I can tell, the only other major trigger is going to [spoiler]the Isle of Mists[/spoiler] (whatever that is, I'm still screwing around pretty early in Velen). I'm wondering if there's anything before that or specifically I should look out for.

My guess from the lists I've seen is that I'll be able to go all over Velen/Novigrad/Skellige before I reach something like that, but if anyone knows otherwise I'd appreciate it.

I've been trying to look at quest names from this list, finishing anything I come across marked as missable immediately (if I can), but I'm not sure how complete it is:

Stash and merchants gone

I can’t find my stash at Crow’s Perch, the icon shows on the map but the chest is nowere to be seen. And when i travel to oxenfurt the armorer, smith and merchants are gone both on the map and in the world. Where the armorer should be the barber spawns and walks out of the shop. Where the blacksmith should be a seaman spawns and walks away. In Blackbough the wandering merchant icon on the map is showing all the time but the merchant don’t appear. I have not yet reached Novigrad so i don’t know what the situation is like there.

I have tried to travel to other places and back again without any result, i have meditated but the time of day doesn’t change anything and I have saved and loaded without any change.

I’m playing on PC, version 1.11

I hope that somone knows what this is.

Great game otherwise!!

Savegame reloads restoring enemy health to full

I’m not sure if this a feature or a bug but whenever I restore a savegame the current opponents I were battling have ALL their health restored and I’m at the same stage as at the beginning of the battle except I now lack any potions or bombs I may have used.

Often times I will find myself against enemies WAYYY tougher than me and I resort to leaving the area enough to restore health and I make a save at that point then return and if I get defeated, the save from that stage shows the enemy health restored.

Am I just seeing a glitch in my system or is this the way it’s supposed to be. If it is then that needs to be addressed as it makes battles too difficult on top of the already difficult mechanics. (which BTW I am all in favour of)

Can't get any mod to work

I have the game at GOG, patch 1.11

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, really. I’m not exactly new to the modding scene (only games I play unmodded are those which have no mods available) but I can’t get any TW3 mod to work at all, no matter what, and I’ve tried plenty of them. I’ve read and re-read Nexus forums and the mods instructions and I’ve reinstalled the mods at no avail (both manually and with NMM). I also verified/repaired game, but nothing seems to work. Every mod I tried is compatible with patch 1.11. What I’ve done so far:

I. install the game

II. copy modNameofMod folder to F:\0 – GOG\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\Mods

III. copy bin folder to F:\0 – GOG\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

IV. get frustrated

Not only I don’t get the Mod menu under the game Options menu but also the mods don’t work in-game. Custom Localization Fix is installed, UsePlaceholdersForMissingStrings is set to false.

I also deleted the bin folder from the modNameofMod folder (after merging it with TW3 root folder) because I though that maybe leaving it there could be the problem but it changed nothing

And I used Script Merger when needed

Some of the mods I tried: mod3DQuestMarkers for patch 1.11 (a Friendly HUD standalone), Friendly HUD, Extended HUD Config, Hud Positioning and Scale. Although Extended HUD Config returned script errors when I tried to merge it, Friendly Hud doesn’t even need to be merged.

I’m at a loss, if someone has an advice, any advice, pray tell, I’m getting desperate

My PC specs, in case it matters: i5 3570K, RAM 16GB, Win7 64 bits, MSI GTX 980ti gaming edition

Zacinający, trzeszczący i urywający się dźwięk.

Witam.

Should I play the first and second game before i start Wild Hunt?

Hey guys, the title pretty much says it all. I've been looking at a few videos of Wild Hunt and it seems really nice. I'm just wondering if I should play the prequels before purchasing this. I've been playing the Witcher II for like three ours some years ago but then I had some problems with my PC and I never took it up again. Will I be confused, story-wise, if I just jump straight into the third game?

Spoiler: Some frying pan quest

A cracked monocle can be found in this quest. As you know in that house, there was a spy who used pan to sooth ink and write letters.

This spy is actually Thaler. if you have monocle in your inventory, a dialogue appears when you talk to him and you can give this cracked monocle to him.

This shows how detailed this game is… i m really amazed with all these little, beautiful details.

[MOD IDEA] Music Overhaul

It’s been a long time since I last modded a game (back in 2010 – Oblivion) and now i think I’m ready to give it a try on the witcher 3.

When I first saw the early trailers and gameplay videos I was amazed by the graphics, but even more by the great choice of music in the background.

The problem ist in my opinion the best soundtracks, which where already shown very earls aren’t playing as often as I want to or not at the right moment.

Also I think there could be a few additional soundtracks which would fit right in to the game.

I realy want to do it, but I didn’t already look into the files. Has anybody already figured out where the music is stored and how it works? Or could give me a little advice? (also I’m very interessted in your opinion or personal ideas)

I hope my english is mostly understandable. :)

(spoilers) Questions regarding the story DLC (Hearts of Stone)

  1. Who were the dog and cat ? Not obviously animals. What spirits were they ? Why were they bound to Iris ? They seemed to know that Gaunter was tricky and they

  2. Why was the caretaker so horribly mutated ? He wasn't killed or anything before that. So what happened to him ?

  3. Gaunter O Dhimm is the devil right ? I mean…pacts, souls claiming, twisted wishes fulfilment, crossroads etc.

  4. What is Gaunter's identity that drives people crazy or gets them killed (as he claims it) ?

  5. He couldn't detect Ciri, says she's out of his range ~ is the elder blood some kind of weakness to him ? Or is it that he can't detect anyone who's more powerful than him.

  6. What did Geralt have to give him in exchange for information of where Yennefer was ? And what did Geralt have to give him in exchange for rescuing him from the ship prison ?

  7. Notice how the kids used to sing about Master Mirrors (Gaunter) ?

  8. MOST IMPORTANT : Who else figured out the riddle before the final game ?

  9. Notice how the dog gave Geralt the answer to riddle ? Morror that doesn't shatter

So after successfully installing the game, I start it up and get in game but roughly every 30 seconds, give or take, the game freezes for about 3-5 seconds and I can't do anything but the sound is still playing in the background and if I am in a cut scene, the characters mouths are moving but nothing is getting said and it looks weird with Geralt nodding to them etc. anyone know a fix?

Can't Deflect Arrows

I expect this issue has been beaten to death but after months and months and, what is it now? Eleven patches? I would have expected this to be addressed.

It goes like this: I see the archer. I see the archer preparing arrow or crossbow bolt. I’m mashing on the block button. The arrow hits me in the face.

or

I try to dodge and get hit in the face.

or

I try to roll, Geralt hops up in the air… and I get hit in the face.

So, and I am aware that I’m beating a dead horse here, this kinda sucks.

Is there anything in the works to address this?A planned fix? A mod? Or is this just a given frustration that I will forever have to work around?
