How much does total armor matter on Death March? Is using the Kaer Morhen armor reasonably do-able on DM?

I'm currently going through an NG+ playthrough on Death March, and I really want to use the original Kaer Morhen armor. Unfortunately, its stats aren't great. Only 160 armor. My Mastercrafted Wolven armor has 205 armor, while my Legendary Ursine armor has 285 armor.

Using Mastercrafted Wolven Boots/Trousers, and the Kaer Morhen Hunting Gauntlets/Warrior's Leather Jacket gives me 334 armor total. Using full Mastercrafted Wolven armor leaves me with 412 armor, while my Legendary Ursine Armor leaves me with 569 armor.

My questions are: How much more damage will I recieve? (Compared to Legendary Ursine armor and the Mastercrafted Wolven armor)

Is it reasonable to play with the Warrior's Leather Jacket/Kaer Morhen Chest armor and Gauntlets, with Mastercrafted Wolven Trousers/Boots (compared to the Full MC Wolven armor or Legendary Ursine Armor)?

Quick edit: I'm currently level 52, if that matters.

Also: I saw a mod posted to this subreddit, a little over a year ago which increased the stats of the Kaer Morhen armor. The mod has since been removed and I cannot find it on the Nexus. Does a mod like that still exist somewhere?
