Hi /r/witcher! I'm very new to the franchise. I picked up W3 for cheap and am really excited to start playing it on my PS4. Due to RL commitments I've been forced to become a casual gamer and due to that do not invest time in more than 3 games a year. So basically W3 will take me into the summer due to the dearth of time I've got.
This also means I don't have time to go back and play W1 or 2. I've read a bit about the lore on wikipedia plus the booklet that came with the game. What else should I read to catch up on the Witcher universe enough so I'm not completely lost playing this game?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How important is it to read up on Witcher series before playing Witcher 3?
