So I’ll keep it short. I stopped playing for a while and am still on V 1.7. Trying to update to 10 and 11, but when I try to update to 1.10 (part 1) through GOG, it gives me a message saying that "The file "……" could not be located in "…." Please insert the correct disk or select another folder". I downloaded this game through GOG and have many hours played on it. AND YES, I even went into every possible folder and folder combo in my PC to select a file but the same message comes up. I even tried to download v 1.11 first but that gave me an entirely different message with a different issue.
Important to note that before my semester started, I dragged and dropped my Witcher files from my SSD to my HDD because it was taking up room and that’s where I generally keep my games. I never played from that moment on. I am not sure if that helps explain my troubles. I can launch the game from the new folder just fine and the old folder in the SSD still has a few files left in it that won’t be removed, even if I drag and drop.
I need help please. I just want to get back to it and get the patches with the new DLC. Is the game corrupt now? The files? Please don’t tell me I have to reinstall the game. Much appreciated for any help!
