[SPOILERS] Just finished my first playthrough, utterly impressed throughout. Especially the cinematography and depth of story. Wanted to share thoughts and some screenshots.

Before ever posting or reading much here before getting TW3 I didn't read spoilers, I didn't know much about the Witcher lore getting into the game but was totally immersed from the moment I stepped foot into White Orchard. I did a lot of side quests, contracts as well as played a decent amount of Gwent. I wish I actually spent more time early on getting cards because I got beat more in that than from the actual core game. Probably one of the best mini games in a game I've ever had the joy of playing.

Overall the game itself was totally satisfying, I was very surprised at how well written even the side quests were, they at times felt like the main story and I found myself doing them more to the point where I would out level the main arc too much as a result. All things considered I think that's a good thing, because most RPG's I've played that had decent side quests even they became boring and repetitive. The Witcher 3 did not cause that burned out feeling, and every encounter I felt I needed to research and prepare for accordingly..

Sadly as one to have not read the spoilers about the endings (or how to achieve a particular one) my choices of taking gold from the emperor among trying to protect Ciri too much caused me to see her presumed dead and Geralt himself also die in the ending. It was a very heart wrenching moment for me, I felt depleted, yet at the same time I was pleased even with that ending of being the apparent worst one of the three endings, I still felt it fit the story well and wasn't truly bad just more sad and depressing, but hey so was the Continent anyway right? I went ahead and read about the other two after and plan to have another playthrough as well as pick up the HoS DLC and see about getting a more fitting ending for what I was hoping for based on what I was trying to achieve in my decision making.

Overall I must say this has truly been one of the best RPG experiences I have had in at least over a decade, everything was amazing with maybe the only exception being movement felt weird at times trying to interact with things but that's not really a big deal to me.

I wanted to share a collection of my favorite screen caps I grabbed particular a good amount near the end with the battle with the Wild Hunt as it really was a very exciting and nervous time for me personally in the game. I wasn't sure if I would be able to win, I felt like maybe I didn't collect enough potions or prepared enough for the battle coming but I went in guns, ehm.. swords a blazing. Also took a few screens from around various spots that I found to be awe inspiring in beauty from a design standpoint, the scenery and musical score really just fits the mood of the entire game so perfectly.

TL;DR – Love this game, and wanted to share my story and some pictures with you from my time in the Witcher 3.
