Firstly, my game is excessively bright compared to other people's games. Using SweetFX presets that are supposed to make the game darker somehow end up making the game brighter. Gamma adjust doesn't help either and only seems to affect shadows. The game looks perfect at the title screen though. Not sure why it doesn't match that.
In the tutorial where you're supposed draw your sword, I don't have one. I ran around for half an hour looking for it, and then I just looked up a playthrough and apparently you're supposed to spawn with it (which I didn't) forcing me to skip the combat portion of the tutorial.
Well when the ghouls show up, he still has his boots and undies but in that situation he's still effectively naked. The ghouls also appear to be unkillable as they regen health incredibly quickly and Geralt for some reason takes no damage resulting in a stalemate. I think I might just be doing something wrong considering I'm playing on "Death March" and I didn't take the tutorial.
I spent the whole day googling pretty much everything I could think of and searching through discussions on Steam/reddit and couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I also know there's a megathread for bugs and all so I tried posting there this morning but I felt as if no one really reads the comments and I was hoping I could get some help (desperately) with this as it's pretty much standing between me and the rest of the game.

Game too bright, missing sword in tutorial, Geralt naked **AFTER** tutorial. Please help.
