HoS mini-boss problem (possibly small spoilers)

I'm playing HOS on ng+ deathmarch and I'm up to the wraith of the painting in the "scenes from a marriage" quest and she is seemingly literally impossible to kill, my attacks are laughable in damage at best and by the time I've whittled her stupendous health-bar down a little; she heals to within a slither of all her hp in an instant before I can reach the painting to slash it, she is immune to all status', I do about 500-800 damage per quick attack, she heals 5000~ per tick of healing when she does, is this normal because I'm about to go mental from whacking this thing for 20 minutes with nothing coming of it.

P.S. the caretaker was a pain as well from the huge health-bar perspective it gets very dull just dodging and attacking a couple times repeat for 15 minutes while I chip away at its monstrous health but at least its crazy healing was easily avoidable so I had the satisfaction of getting somewhere.

P.P.S. I'd like to add that per my observations the only thing that got harder since reaching the expansion is dealing with the massively bloated enemy health bars.
