Zero achievements

I've been slowly playing through the game, lollygagging, and just realized today, after finishing collect em all, that i have only 4 steam achievements completed. Only a few of the early ones and then nothing… I am at a loss here. Basically finished with the game and zero achieves.. anyone have any advice?
