Fleet Footed appears bugged
I have the Fleet footed defencive skill fully upgraded, it’s supposed to provide 100% damage reduction when dodging at this point, but your quen shield still registers full damage, and breaks when you’re hit during a dodge.
getting stun locked is also sorta why I got it… This is a bit off topic, but I’m pretty dissapointed that this skill doesn’t allow a full on dodge, it still acts like you’re getting hit when you’ve ‘avoided’ them… especially annoying against groups of wraiths.

Why do magical folk seem to have knowledge of genetic mutations, gene therapy, or genetics in general?
They don't seem to have any obvious per-requisite infrastructure and there's no obvious mentions in the in-game books. Are they supposed to be like D&D wizards who somehow gain hundreds of years worth of knowledge and research in their careers?

.Ini Tweaks that increase stability/FPS and reduce crashes.
I was looking for any changes that could be made to the .ini for better performance, and I found these
\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\resources.ini
FileQueueSizeGame = 250
FileQueueSizeLoading = 700
MaxRequests = 45 [50 is max, and with 50 or over you might have crashes](bigger faster loading)
MaxCompressedBudget = 10MaxUncmpressedBudget = 240
MaxUncompressedBlocks = 4096
These changes reduced game stuttering and increased my average frame rate by about 5 and got rid of game crashes when in Novigrad.

I finally finished the base game + HoS on BBB after picking it up a couple weeks ago, but I'm keen on starting a new game on DM. My only real complaint was combat started to feel pretty trivial around lvl 28 (even Eredin/Imlerith)… are there any quality mods out there that spice up combat a bit and are worth getting?

PLS for the love of god can you include an option for disabling lighting the damn candles? This is just ridiculous 😀 Is this on purpose to annoy us? Placing the candles on chests and before quest NPCs? ;]

In the Witcher 3 game, Geralt has an option to lead Ciri to her father after the battle of Kaer Morhen.
When Emhyr sees his daughter,he introduces her to the vassals at present addressing quite a few titles prepared for his daughter.
And one of these titles is Queen of Cintra which I think has an issue here.

In novels, Emhyr conceals the fact to most people that he is the husband of Crown Princess Pavetta. After Queen Calanthe dies, he claims the throne of Cintra by marrying the granddaughter of Calanthe,Ciri,but false one for legitimacy.
Thus,the false Ciri becomes Queen of Cintra and Emhyr aquires King of Cintra to his title collection.
However in game, an issue arrises while copying that title from false Ciri to the true one.
As long as Emhyr reveals the true relationship between he and his daughter to his vassals, his relationship with Pavetta is also revealed. As the husband of Crown Princess Pavetta, he himself can claim the throne of Cintra for legitimacy.
Therefore, the proper title for True Ciri whose king father still alive should be Crown Princess of Cintra at that time.
Unless Emhyr still wants to marry his own daughter(which is rediculous) or Emhyr is to abdicate the kingship of Cintra and transfer it to Ciri.

Jednak po pobraniu jej w grze pojawiło się kilka problemów między innymi znikają mi tekstury w jaskiniach albo przeciwnie pojawia się ich tak dużo ,że jaskinia staję się nie możliwa do przeszukania, zniknęły mi również wszystkie schowki to znaczy ikonka na mapie jest ale schowka już nie ma innym problem jest to iż nie mogę skończyć zadania Miecze i pierogi powód? Witcher 3 is a brilliant game, no doubt about it. And by no means did I buy it cause sex scenes, but I'd like to say I think CDPR actually did a pretty horrid job with them.
I mean, I understand the scenes with side characters and nameless prostitutes recycling the same scene, but what about the ones with more important characters, or the main romances?
I'm particularly talking with about Triss's scene, which while the dialogue is great, the sex scene still recycles the same thing you see with every other female character.

I enjoy Witcher 3, not trying to step on anybodys toes here but it has its fair share of flaws, here's a list of a bunch of them that really grind my gears.
Please actually consider these points and don't just downvote because its a critique. Thank you.
Witcher 3, and what's wrong with it, considering using a Controller as input method and permanent Death March difficulty game play. Patch 1.11.
Interface:
It's slow. And by slow, I mean *** slow.
The item categories don't really make much sense.
When looting, you can't see any property of an item besides the rarity and what category it's under.
Inventory interfaces use an icon only grid interface, making it tedious to find an exact bomb/oil/concoction.
You can't put oils on quick equip slots.
Equipment items use 2 grid slots, even though your effective inventory size is based on carry weight, not slots used up by items. All this does is reduce the amount of items you can see without scrolling. (Compare: Resident Evil 4)
In situations where you remove items from your current selected inventory, you cannot move the grid cursor over the empty grid, forcing you go make weird round trips over other items to get to the actual item you want (imagine the shape [, but you can't move from endpoint to endpoint, you have to move along the line).
The current selection highlight is not visible enough, sometimes forcing an erratic moving around of the selection to find the highlight.
Sound:
During a majority of the cutscenes, all voices are centered in the picture, no matter where the speaker is currently.
During most cutscenes, there are basically no ambient sounds, no footsteps when people walk, etc. Imagine a radio drama, but without the extra sounds to give context.
German dub: I guess due to time constraints, the script was voiced without the actors having any context to their scenes. This makes conversations sound really awkward, since most of the time, the emphasis is on the complete wrong part of a sentence given the context.
Combat:
Dodge is useless when you're not already out of the attack area and thus wouldn't take the hit anyway.
The perk to reduce damage while dodging either has an extremely small frame window or simply doesn't work at all, not sure.
Archers can hit you from outside your NPC rendering range.
Archers can shoot through absolutely everything. Tents, walls, trees, terrain.
If you start combat while you cast a sign, Geralt will not automatically equip a sword. This lead me to often attack with fists.
– Attacking with fists should not be possible unless you have nothing else equipped in that weapon slot.
Movement:
During combat, you cannot climb/jump. You cannot leave combat by yourself as long as there are enemies engaged.
– I had one freak death where I wanted to loot a body, but the moment I pressed Interact, I got engaged in combat, did a dodge roll and leaped off a ledge to my death.
World:
There's way too many containers everywhere often containing useless items. But you're forced to loot/look at every single one you find, for they may contain some unique alchemy/blacksmith recipes. Especially talking about the ones in random houses in Novigrad on the top floor.
– This leads to a weird situation everytime you enter a new location where you just run around all the rooms looting everything.
— But hey, at least they don't respawn.
Often, containers are stacked in groups of up to 5 containers, each only containing 1 item. Who the heck stacks 5 crates each only containing 1 broken pipe or a broken ladder?
Containers are often untargetable and thus uninteractable. Notable when they're higher up (but theoretically still in reach), behind other crates or under stairs.
Candles often take preference over still lootable containers close to them, even after a patch meant to fix that.
Quests:
During the quest where you're at the mask ball, you can't use your weapons, but you get engaged in mortal fist combat. It's programmed to be like a fist duel, where you can't use Quen and can't eat food to heal, even though it's not a duel at all.
Engine: On every death, the whole game loads from scratch, On console, these loading times are up to two minutes. On Death March, this is not fun.
Overall, it's still a very enjoyable game, I just wish there would've been more effective play testing.

the Wraith a.k.a Iris.
I'm playing on NG+ and at Death March. I can't seem to do enough damage to outpace her health regeneration. I can't even get past the first chunk of her health bar. I know you're suppose to hit the paintings but I'm convinced the fight is bugged as the timeframe to get to the paintings is really short and she gains like 6k health a second (I think) I took care of the Caretaker in two tries, but this one..I feel like I'm not doing much against her, or rather I just can't.

Need help with the Wraith boss.
Advice on where to get Gwent cards?
Still trudging my way through the game, haven't had much time to play, got it on release.
I'm just leaving Skellige now and while I loved Gwent early game and bought cards any time I saw them (which wasn't much) and stomped a few people early, I haven't found anyone selling for a LONG time and I check every where I go. And now any of the people I find to play, in Skellige or other cities, are impossible to beat because they play Hero cards and lost of really good ones I don't have. The only deck I even have enough cards for are the starter faction Northern Realms, each of my other's have between 7-10 cards each.
Any advice on how to buy up or win some quick cards? I want to play Gwent cause it's a lot of fun but I'm not the type to pour 10+ hours just hunting for cards either for a minigame so any advice'd be great.

I have found Superior recipies for about 3-4 of the Oils, but the location of the rest remains a mystery. I thought the Gremist at the druids' would have them, but nah. Where are they?

Hi guys! I just bought and downloaded the game (on PC), and having a lot of fun! However, when looking at the graphics options, I can't seem to find where to change the resolution? I looked through all the menu options and just can't find it. Am I just being dumb? I did try some google searches and searched this sub, but didn't really find anything useful outside of messing with the external options file. But I should be able to do this in game, right?

Completed Skellige, then Velen, then Novigrad, got some interesting dialogue...
for me, Geralt first saw uma in Skellige and didn't recognise him, Geralt then met him in Velen and Geralt knew he was connected to Ciri somehow. Afterwards I rescued Dandelion and when Geralt learned about the 'ugly curse', said that Uma must be its victim, and that he should go and get him from the baron and go to Kaer Morhen. – can't believe the devs thought to account for me messing up their nice story.

I am currently broke and would love to play the Witcher 3 as from what I heard it sounds awesome. However, it will mean I have to eat like shit for 2 weeks or so. Is is good enough to offset that do you think? Or should I just wait it out? Normally I would just pirate it in this situation, but I heard the developers are worthy of the $ this time so I like to contribute.

[PC] Anyone else experiencing overclock problems specifically with Witcher 3?
I'm on a GTX 970, overclocked @ +200 mHz and +300 RAM.
It's perfectly stable on every game…except Witcher 3. In fact, I can barely push it past +120 mHz/+200 RAM without the damn thing crashing my entire computer.
Anyone else experiencing similar?

Just finished Witcher 3 and...
it's provoked a strange set of feelings inside. I feel confused and sad at the same time. I think I had one of the better, more satisfactory endings bit I still feel sad. I can't decide whether this sadness is purely as a result of what happens at the end or also because I didn't feel the ending did the rest of the game justice. It could also be because the game/main story line is actually over. Perhaps it is a combination of all three.
I've played a lot of good games over the years, with very engaging stories; Dragon Age and Baldurs Gate to name a couple but I've never felt such emotion during and after a game. I've become so attached to many characters in the game and it's really left me without having to decide whether I should buy the expansion or not. The answer, without needing to think about it is obviously, yes. I will be doing this shortly.
Huge congrats to the developers and I can't wait for more.

Question about Novigrad and it's relation to Redania.
When walking through Novigrad, I noticed that Redanian guards patrol the streets. It was my understanding that despite the city itself residing inside of Redania's borders, it wasn't under rule of that kingdom. If that's the case, why have Redanian guards if the city itself isn't subject to the rule of Radovid V? Because wouldn't those guards be patrolling with the intention of enforcing the laws of Redania, when those laws don't apply to residents of the city?

В квесте "Зачарование:плата за качество" не отображается (не подсвечивается красным и следовательно не возможно подобрать) кайло. Дальнейшее прохождение квеста невозможно. Платформа PS4

Dips in Novigrad
Hi there,
So after my switch to ps4 version because of Xbox one version completly fucked up 2 times because of patch (…sigh!)…
I’ve noticed few dips in Novigrad (nothing major) which weren’t there before…
We’re not far from a perfect game performances wise, so fix these dips would be awesome!
And one last thing… how did CDPR managed to butcher Xbox version??
Not 1 time… but 2!! That’s unacceptable! And frankly, it give the impression that they don’t know at all what they’re doing…
Each patch is like russian roulette!
It’s more amateurish than professionnal, i mean it’s like nobody at cdpr have tested the patch, how didn’t they see that framerate is much worse with 1.10/1.11 than 1.08…
Happened twice with 1.10 and 1.07…
I really can’t understand these mistakes…

Dips in Novigrad
Questions about Visenna
I've only read finished the Last Wish and in the midst of Sword of Destiny. Just read about Visenna Spoiler, which made me want to find out more about the lore!
It's established in the Last Wish that witchers and sorceresses are basically infertile. Based on Visenna, can I assume that there are other sorceresses out there that do not suffer from infertility? Or was only Visenna special?
On the other hand, are all witchers infertile, or is there a slight chance that someone might have not suffered as badly from the mutations?
Love that chapter but it's just so bitter and sad!

Questions about Visenna
Worst part of HoS
Is the fact that there was a missable secret achievement for purposefully making the hardest boss fight in the game even harder, and one achievement that is just straight bugged (flaming rose camps), its very frustrating for someone who's trying to 100% the game. Also, I've done everything in the game and I'm not even high enough level to use the Viper armor. Those little things aside though, the expansion was amazing. I almost never purchase DLC because it never seems worth it, but this one is priced perfectly for how much there is, and the quality is even higher than the base game in my opinion.

Person(s) in Disteress - Swordsmith bug
I killed all slavers, got key, wen’t to cabin, opened cell door and this guy just standing there, no option to speak with him. I did read from internet that he speaks only in daytime, well it was 5:15pm when got there, I waited until next day, noon, still not talking, then I waited one hour at the time and tried again, nothing, he just doesn’t speak.

BLOOD & WINE FANS WISHLIST
I have made a list of what seems to be the most popular things that fans are looking for to see in the next (and probably last) expansion.
You can write your personal most-desired things and I will add the most popular to my post ( hoping that CDPR, reading it, will implement these things in B&W)
FANS WISHLIST:
– A beautiful faerytale new region different from any other area of the base game
– Really big new map ( I think Ard Skellige size would be cool)
– Epic main quest like HoS ( but longer 
– A lot of new monsters. At least 12- 15 new bestiary entries ( Manticores, bruxaes and water monsters are the most sought-after)
– Some of the new monsters to be added also in the original areas of the game
– Saskia & Iorveth
– New characters never seen in the trilogy; Francesca Findabair, Duchess Henrietta, Regis… ( the last is pure utopia)
– One new witcher gear
– New weapons and armors
– Vampires
– "A night to remember" trailer quest
– New romance
– Quest involving elves
– New gameplay innovations/ mechanics
– New gwent cards
My personal whishes are a first person mode which can be used outside combat ( it would be wonderful to explore TW world in first person) and a mode even for consolles to make the night darker.

Ktokolwiek widział, ktokolwiek wie proszony jest o zamieszczenie informacji na forum, nie na tablicy ogłoszeń.

Another rant about how amazing this game is and how incredible a year 2015 has been for gaming.
I have invested about two hundred hours into The Witcher 3. I played until Crookback Bog on the PS4, loved it so much but was frustrated with the frame rate that I bought an Alienware laptop to continue playing through it. I've been playing the game like you would drink an expensive wine. Slowly and savoring it. Two hundred hours in and I'm only just finishing Bald Mountain and I'm around level 28. I haven't beaten the game and yet I know it's my favorite game of all time. Every character could die off and there could be a stupid ending and I'd still love it. I'm just having so much damn fun. The depth of this game, the side quests that feel story rich and not tedious, the fact that monster contracts could've felt grindy but instead feel unique. Hell, this game does detective work better than any detective-esqe game I've ever played. No part of the game feels like it was lacking any attention, everything small detail is beautiful and equals to one hell of an immersive experience. Not to mention, I have many friends who have told me that they bought this game thinking it, "might be similar to Skyrim but nothing could be better than Skyrim". And weeks later they tell me, "it isn't Skyrim but it's better.. So much better..". And these are people who are very bitter about gaming and typically spend their afternoons playing competitive fps games.
This year we've gotten so many amazing games. From Bloodbourne, MGSV to this masterpiece, and we have Fallout 4 on the horizon (another game that might even top The Witcher 3). I've been so poor for the past few years, unable to play games. My gaming experience has been playing Fallout 3 over and over on a shitty laptop. So I feel absolutely amazed and lucky to have jumped back into gaming during such an incredible year. I'm so giddy right now, and I'm glad I have a community I can share my thoughts with. I know posts like this sound like a big circle jerk, but it's been an amazing year for gaming. I hope you all are having an incredible day / night! Get out there and complete some contracts!

Things to know when starting this game
this is is based on xbox controls
beastiary is updated by reading about or fighting monsters. (The books store in Novigrad (main square) sells many monster based books)
beastiary will tell you what any monster is weak to
dancing star & northern wind bombs will set most enemies on fire/freeze respectfully (great for crowed control)
Resting & drinking white honey reset all active potion affects
Resting refills bombs & potions
Some quests will fail if you do not do them immediately (leave the area, etc)
holding A while riding a horse trots , double tapping A and holding makes him actually run
you can shoot the cross bow under water
All potions, witcher armour/swords have levels (base,enhanced,superior,legendary (ng+))
diagrams for making potions are often randomly placed, so check all chests
upgraded skills must be placed in slots to be active
mutagens used in skill slots can be upgraded by combining like colored ones in alchemy recipes
Like colored skills & mutagens add an extra buff in skill slots (eg red skill, red mutagen)
skills can be reset by buying a Potion of Clearance (sold in various areas)
monsters can injure you while riding your horse & in a boat
Boats can be sunk by monsters or running into rocks
stash chests will store anything you want to keep but not carry
While diving away from enemies you can take damage , side stepping is often better.
holding block while in combat you will block most attacks , even from behind or from a group
You will not block humans with axes or hammers , arrows (arrows can be blocked with perk)
dancing star and holding igni (skill perk) will make sheild welding enemies drop them
cross bow bolts are weighted in inventory , can be de constructed for lots of loot
personal recommendations
Play without a mini map. This game is beautiful , don't get sucked into running from A to B, stop and enjoy the visual journey
Play on a difficulty higher than you think you can handle. this forces you to use bombs,oils,potions and really get everything out of the game. Makes every monster hunt feel epic
Don't be afraid to get lost. Its a great big world , and while the main quest is made to feel urgent, it will still be there later if you want to run off and explore.
