Consequences of dialogue options for this quest

I just did the quest and ended up having to fight all the Witch Hunters. From the available dialogue options: I chose number 3. Now I'm wondering how option 2 differs from my chosen option 3. Does it have any large consequences or does it only change the cutscene ?
