Scavenger hunt: Bear school gear glitch. Any help would be appreciated.

I just finished the little dungeon for the basic ursine set. I just looted the chest and all thats left is to go to a craftsman to make this sweet set but when I walk to the grated door and pull the lever to open it, it wont open? and i cant go out the way I came in, thats also blocked. So how do i get out? how can i fix this? any help will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I've tried reloading and also just redoing the whole place. Still wont work.
