My university seminar course this year in my Law studies is Intellectual Property and Network Theory. Soon I’ll need to settle on a topic for my 20-30-page long paper (which honestly kinda frightens me at this early point in the year). At the moment I’m still clueless, so I thought about asking here to see if any of you have matters you think might be interesting in this field. Specifically I’m leaning in the direction of – this will come as a shock – entertainment and gaming in particular, maybe piracy, or perhaps YouTube and fair use. Yet even then it’s all very general and I’ll need to narrow it down. I’m open to different matters, though. I might find other issues you guys raise about intellectual property or network theory to be more interesting.
So, those of you who are familiar – any legal matters in this very general scope you think might turn out to be interesting research? If you have articles, it’s even better. Or, God forbid, actual court verdicts you might know about. Somehow. For whatever obscure reason. Who knows. This is a good community, and with CDPR’s intimate relationship with piracy and DRM, maybe I’ll get some interesting posts and pointers here.
Thanks in advance.
