It was super creepy, and I kept expecting to get a quest or some dialog or a lore book or something explaining why there were statues of people EVERYWHERE, but nothing ever came up. Did I miss something, or was that weirdness simply never explained? Or could it be from the books?

So was there ever a quest/explanation for that island in Skellige (with the big boat, I think) with the thousands of random statues everywhere?
